On 8/12/2005 lasthope asked:
My partner and I have a very good sex life, mostly due to good communication, but one thing that sorta stumps us and causes worry is that during sex sometimes she gets a sharp jabbing pain about 1 inch in and 3 inchs down from her hip. It's worse if it's a deeper thrust. She has asked a few doctors and all they can say is "I wouldn't worry about that. I guess it's normal" and other such useless comments. Any ideas? I would rather not have this subitted to the web.
Llama answered:
Unfortunately I can't answer this without going through the web as your email address is not sent through to me with your question. The interesting thing about this pain that you describe is that a lot of woman experience it, and like you, I have never had a medical professional adequately explain it. My theory is that some women are more prone to kidney and bladder infections, far a variety of reasons. Vigorous penetration in certain positions can impact on inflamed or sensitive areas internally, causing that stabbing pain. My only suggestion to you is to experiment with different positions. For example, with her on top your penis will penetrate much deeper than the missionary position. In this instance it might be that the missionary position is more comfortable for her. But experiment because her area of inflammation might only be aggravated in a couple of positions.

When will the multi function slimline be back in stock? I'd like to get a pressie for my gf
Llama answered:
My system is showing that there is one left in our Palmerston North store - contact them and you can give your credit card details to them directly. palmerston-shop@dvice.co.nz or 06 3591404.

Otherwise we have a similar but slimmer vibe arriving in January next year. They're very popular and we were a little caught out by their demand. Merry Xmas!
On 29/11/2005 Kas asked:
I am just wondering if you could help me out, every time we use condoms after sex my vagina itches for a few days there is no rash or anything but the itchiness drives me crazy! I had the same problem after using the ky warming liquid I asked my doctor about it and she said it was highly unlikely that I was having an allergic reaction, the brand of condoms we've been using is durex and ansell both cause the itchiness any advice?

Llama answered:
I would suggest that your doctor do a little more research into sexually related matters. It is incredibly common to experience that itchiness - and it is usually a mild allergic reaction. If you continue to use the product that is irritating you, the reaction can get bigger.

There are two possibilities - both common. They are that you have a mild latex intolerance or, had a response to the lubricant that you used. I would suggest using a GOOD lubricant such as PROBE. Lubricants with flavours or warming/cooling properties tend to worsen this type of reaction. And the situation only gets worse with repeated use.

I would also suggest that you try non-latex condoms such as Durex Avanti, which though more expensive, are safe and will not cause a reaction in the latex intolerant.

If you are more susceptible to thrush and other infections generally ALWAYS keep away from crappy lubes. Make sure that you use HEAPS of the good quality stuff.
On 28/11/2005 medusa asked:
I recently purchased a remote control wireless bullet and gave my partner the remote while at a bbq with friends. We had a ball with it for a while (me more than him!) until the damn thing wouldn't turn off! My friends all thought this was hilarious and took it in turn having me sitting in their laps, but I'm a little peeved at the product as I was getting more enjoyment from the unexpected turning on and off of the unit.

I was wondering if there was any way I could get a replacement product or is this simply a case of 'getting what you pay for'?
Llama answered:
Well that sounds like a lot of fun, quickly followed by a bit of frustration...

All of our vibrators have at least a 30 day guarantee against faults, and those that cost over $100 have a 60 day guarantee. Return the vibe with your receipt to PO Box 27548, Wellington, and we will get a replacement out to you straight away. One thing to check before you send it back is the batteries - the ones that come with the unit are designed for a short period of use, and sometimes a bad battery can result in that type of malfunction.
On 26/11/2005 DJ asked:
hi, i am new to the sex toy usage.. i am interested in toys that provide stimulation for the clitoris and nipple teasers.. do ull have any such products. I am not interested in penetration however.. kindly reply ASAP
Llama answered:
The category on our site that you should check out is Clit Ticklers. I think all of these products are excellent and they sound like they would suit your needs.
On 20/11/2005 garfield asked:
I would like to buy a cock ring etc that would be tighter than Senso Lover Prickly so that I can cum in my girl friend. Something special for Xmas.
Llama answered:
I recommend that you check out the Naughty Bunny if you want something that still vibrates. Otherwise check out the leather cockrings that we have - they're all excellent.
On 9/11/2005 confused asked:
Is it bad for you if you wank when you are 13??
Llama answered:
Not unless you do it excessively. I'd try and keep to three times or less per day. You'll notice when you do too much because you'll get very sore.
On 9/11/2005 secret squirrel asked:
Where can I find books about learning how to be a dominatrix? I don't want to be too rough but some tips would be good.
Llama answered:
We have a fabulous book called Sensuous Magic that will give you some great tips and ideas.
On 1/11/2005 retch asked:
Brill website!

I love giving head to my guy. My problem is that, on the gravy stroke so to speak, I gag.... I've read your info page which suggests stopping and taking a few breaths when the gag reflex kicks in. However, I doubt my guy would agree that the moment he cums is the best time to stop for some air! Is my reaction physiological or psychological, do you think? And what on earth, apart from even more practice, can I do? I really want to overcome this, because it's becoming quite a mental sticking point. Regards....
Llama answered:
Hmmm, I'm kinda stumped on this one. Perhaps you gag because you're reacting to the thought of maybe drowning when he cums? Perhaps you could also try wearing a condom (use a flavoured one, and probably a little lube) so you don't have that concern.

We do have an excellent book on giving head called The Ultimate Guide to Fellatio, which recommends, among other things, taking a quick breathe/suck when you feel yourself about to gag. And perhaps a little practice with a dildo or vibrator? Give it a go and let me know what works for you - I'll update our Sex Info pages ;-)
On 30/10/2005 covert asked:
Am about to embark on an exciting sexual adventure, with a totally indescribable man. My concern is that, while I am experienced and up-to-speed, he has gone without for many years and I sense some fear and embarassment in him about how it will go. I have never dealt with PE, which I suspect is his biggie. Could you give me some pointers on this please? Yes, we will communicate when the time comes, but I would appreciate a heads-up!
Llama answered:
I think the two main things that would be useful for your adventure is a good bottle of PROBE and a good adjustable cockring. The lubricant helps to desensitise him, while allowing him to feel the sensations of intercourse (so the experience is therefore more pleasurable AND more controllable). The cockring will allow him to control himself more easily as well, and again, will also give him pleasurable sensations. We recommend using the cockring for only 30 minutes at a time, but I'm sure you can work out your timing. Good luck with your amazing adventure!
On 30/10/2005 Kate asked:
I was just inquiring to see if there is anything I can do to increase the chances of falling pregnant. I have polycystic ovaries syndrome and have been trying to concieve for over a year. Is there any sex possition or any toy that may help me to fall pregnant?
Llama answered:
Unfortunately I am not an expert in this area. From what I know, your chances are increased if you are at a lighter weight. Depending on the severity of your condition, you are also likely to notice a thickening of your hair also. I understand that there are drugs that a specialist can give you to increase the chances of conception also. As to sextoys etc, unfortunately there is not really anything that will help you out. In preparation we recommend using Loveballs, but not while you're actually trying to conceive. We also suggest that you don't use lubricant (contrary to what we usually recommend). Best of luck - and remember those Loveballs AFTER you've had your baby!
On 25/10/2005 Like a boy asked:
What's the legal age limit to buy a condom? I'm just wondering?
Llama answered:
There is no legal age limit to buying condoms - they are not restricted items. Where you buy them might have age restrictions however. If you are concerned about being old enough to buy condoms, you might like to consider the fact that it is illegal to have sex if you are younger than 16 years old - or to have sex with someone under 16 years old. However, if you have considered the risks and morality of this already, get yourself condoms if you are going to be sexually active. Family Planning clinics provide condoms free.
On 22/10/2005 Fervour asked:
I am apparently allergic to the soft jelly type vibrators and dildos and need to buy silicone based ones. I have been to other sites that have specifically listed what outer material their products are made of and was wondering whether you might consider doing the same for your products?
I know that some of the products already have the material mentioned, but others that I'm interested in don't, like the Pearl Lover, the Pearl Shine Waterproof and the Ruby G Cup.
Llama answered:
Often times we are not completely sure of the exact material ourselves and can only describe it as "jelly". This is a fault in the toy-making industry, and something that we are working on with our suppliers. However, as you say, we do let you know when we know. I would stay away from the soft material vibes UNLESS we specifically say that they are made from plastic or silicone. We are getting back a new brand called Fun Factory shortly, and these are all vibrators made from a silicone outer material that is firm but not plastic.

The silicone products tend to be more expensive as their quality is higher and the cost of producing them is higher.
On 22/10/2005 hairy asked:
I don't want to have hair on my pubic area but waxing hurts too much and when I shave, the short hairs itch me. I was wondering if the smooth shave combo would stop the itching of regular shaving.
Llama answered:
It certainly removes the itchiness caused by ingrown hairs and small nicks. I couldn't guarantee that you wouldn't have any itching, though in my experience this is greatly reduced. And certainly beats the horror of having the hairs torn out!
On 22/10/2005 un-sure asked:
I am only 17 years old, but I have never had a boyfriend and therefore am not getting sexually satisfied. Do you think I am too young to buy a vibrator and is this weird for a 17 year old?
Llama answered:
Human beings are sexual creatures - and both boys and girls often start masturbating much younger than 17 years. So you are completely normal. It is a very wise thing to explore your sexual responses and pleasure by yourself before embarking on a sexual relationship with someone else. Buying a vibrator is an excellent idea - I'm assuming you live with others, so make sure it's a quiet one and that you have your stereo going...
